ياايهاالذين آمنوا لا تدخلوا بيوتا غير بيوتكم حتى تستانسوا و تسلموا على اَهلها ذلكم خير لكم لعلكم تذكرون
“O you who believe Enter not houses other than your own, until you have asked permission and greeted those there in. ” An-Noor:27
فإذا دخلتم بيوتا فسلموا على انفسكم تحية من عند الله مباركة طيبة
“… But when you enter the houses, greet one another with a greeting from Allah: a greeting blessed and good … ” An-Noor:61
و اذا حييتم بتحية فحيو باحسن منها أو رُدُّوهَا
“When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it, or return it equally … ” An-Nisa:86
In the wording of Hadith Sahih Muslim 54, Grade Sahih
لا تدخلون الجنة حتى تؤمنوا ولا تؤمنوا حتى تحابوا اولا أدلكم على شيء اذا فعلتموه تحاببتم أفشوا السلام بينكم
You will not enter Paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love each other. Shall I show you something that, if you did, you would love each other ? Spread peace between yourselves.
Islam is the religion of peace. By saying Salam one Muslim greets another to guarantee the peace on ones behalf and it has a message of security and protection.
The Worldly Life is full of tests and trials. Everyone is tested according to his Iman. The prophets among the people were tested most in their lives. Ibrahim A’laihissalam faced the enmity of his father and nation on inviting them towards Tawhid. Yusuf A’laihissalam found his brothers treacherous and faced trial after trial until he was successful and acknowledged by all. Ayyub A’laihissalam was tested by his family, wealth and health so that he was taken everything back and then given in excess in this world after finishing the trials and being patient on it. After the prophets were tested the people who were near to them in obeying Allah’s commandments. Every person is still in state of test either by giving or depriving some of the blessings in this World. People are misguided by considering the life in the world to be eternal. Allah Ta’alah says in The Qur’an:
Al-Kahf: The Cave: 7
Indeed, We have made that which is on the earth adornment for it that We may test them [as to] which of them is best in deed.
